Brockwell Park Games & Scumbag Olympics
After not happenning this late April as is the tradition, the annual game-playing punx picnic was hastily organised for Sat the 25th or Sun the 26th of September. Well on our way to autumn, Saturday was a wash out as it pissed down with rain all day. So we re-grouped and met up the following day in Brixton's Brockwell Park. Games this year included the infamous Drunk Brick Throwing Contest, 3-legged race, a treasure hunt (that included getting total strangers to either sing and dance or introduce us to their dog), 50 yard dash with a full pint glass etc etc. Unfortunately one punk house in Brixton won about all the prizes (darts trophies that we found in a squatted pub in Norf London) so we think that they must have cheated. Hopefully we'll have another one next year, probably more smack dab in the middle of summer as both April and September are a little wet for picnics. See you then!
